Funeral videography is much more than a live stream. It is the best way to keep important memories alive. Not only does a video enable everyone to witness and respect your fallen friend or family member but it creates a time-capsule of the best stories for future generations so they can know this person too. This video contains footage surrounding the service as well as the service itself. This may be the only time you see certain people in the same room together and it's worth capturing. The services are captured unobtrusively and professionally with several cameras and just one operator. If you'll permit me, I will also drive right behind the funeral coach to film the procession to graveside. The best videos contain footage from the viewing, the funeral and the graveside. Each of these is surprisingly beautiful in unique ways.What to Expect
Your digital film will be edited and delivered to you quickly so that you can e-mail the link to everyone. If you want disk copies on HD Blu-Ray or SD DVD - of course, you can order those anytime because I archive all of my edited work and save it forever. Funeral Videography
$400 for up to 3 hours of time
The memorial service is covered very discretely with two stationary cameras. One camera is used to cover the final journey to graveside. One or two cameras cover the graveside service (weather permitting). Extra hours of coverage are only $75 per hour. The price includes all the editing. A private video link will be e-mailed to you for you to share.
Keepsake "Celebration of Life" Videography + Photography
$750 for up to 3 hours of time, $100 each additional hour
The memorial service is covered discretely with up to four cameras (depending on the situation). The main camera is typically hand-held at least part of the time as I move around to see the various tables, people, singers and flowers. Only one camera is used to cover the final journey to graveside. I use two cameras at the graveside service (weather permitting). The price includes editing and electronic delivery within the week. The private video link will be e-mailed to you (Optional: livestream on a cell phone). 100 Photos are created from the video footage by extracting stills and placing them into a digital photo book. Printing is a separate cost because you can have the book printed in a variety of styles, papers and covers after you have finalized it online (shutterfly is my publisher of choice).
Photography as a Photo Book . . . . $295
Up to 100 pictures are extracted from the High Definition video footage and laid out in a custom designed hardback coffee table photo book. You will receive an electronic version and you can request changes. You can supply extra pictures from your phone or other digital source. When you are satisfied with it, order copies directly from the Shutterfly website in any paper, cover or binding that you like.
Photo Montage Show . . . . . $50/minute
Pictures you provide are touched-up and edited with nice backgrounds and set to your chosen song. They appear on screen in time with the music but they are not animated or otherwise moving on screen. This is a show that you screen before a large audience. Requires at least 24 hours advanced planning if you wish to show it at the service. 4 minutes minimum. 50 pictures minimum. Ask to see the demo. 
Motion Picture Show . . . . . $100/ minute VIDEO EXAMPLE
This is the show that conveys the story of their life. You need to bring me or send me the pictures you want in the show - but please send me only the ones you want in the show because I'm not really qualified to judge which pictures are the most meaningful to your family. The pictures are carefully touched up, color-corrected and sometimes colorized. This is a very polished, carefully edited show set to your favorite songs. Unlike the Photo Montage, these pictures are often animated on screen to fit with the music. You can request changes after the first cut is finished. Requires at least 4 days advanced planning if you wish to show it at the funeral service. 6 minutes minimum. 70 pictures minimum. Video clips optional. Ask to see the demo.
Photo Loop . . . . . . $10/minute
Pictures are cleaned up and color-corrected a little bit and then laid down over a nice background with cinematic transitions. This is not edited to music but we can add some background music if you wish. 4+ minutes recommended. 30 pictures recommended.
